Hosted in the small town of Kandos, NSW, Australia, 3.5 hours from Sydney, between the Blue Mountains and Mudgee, on Wiradjuri Country, Cementa Festival is a biennial arts festival which celebrates contemporary art and culture in all its forms.
From 19-22 September 2024 Cementa returns to Kandos for its sixth iteration, this time under the curatorial leadership of Dr Daniel Mudie Cunningham and First Nations curator Jo Albany.
Cementa welcomes our community, supporters, friends, relatives and hangers-on to join more than 60 artists for four days and four nights of contemporary art and culture spread across the post-industrial town of Kandos on Wiradjuri Country.
Cementa24 includes artists from across Australia presenting new work that responds to Kandos and its regional context. Key to much of this year's edition is the combination of work and play as the foundation of our celebration of Country, community, connection and conversation.
