When everything around us feels uncertain, it's easy to lose sight of why we teach. Through stories, practical examples, and the Classroom CARE Model, this session explores how intentionally designing for Community, Action, Reflection, and Environment can create richer learning experiences, in-person and online, for students and for ourselves.

Dr. Carrie Nolan is an educator, adventurer, and storyteller who believes the best learning happens when people feel seen. An award-winning educator, founder of AdvenEd, and cross-Canada paddler, she has spent more than 25 years helping institutions reimagine teaching through research-informed, human-centred approaches with a blend of reflection, humour, and practical strategies. She is the author of Educative Encounters: The Classroom CARE Model in Higher Education.
