Chanukah 2026: Soundscape Meditation at Emanuel Synagogue
Description
As Shabbat draws to a close on the first weekend of Chanukah, sound and silence offer a space to soften, release and restore. In the stillness between the first and second lights, we turn inward and make room for healing.
Join us on Saturday 5 December at 6.00 pm for a replenishing session with Emanuel Synagogue member Toni Whitmont and her Sacred Vessels Sound Healing practice. Take an hour’s journey into your own sacred centre, accompanied by the pure resonance of alchemy crystal singing bowls.
BYO yoga mat, blanket, eye cushion (optional) and water bottle. As the session begins in stillness, we kindly ask that you arrive a little before 6.00 pm so everyone can settle in together and enjoy the experience undisturbed.
Please stay on for a light supper from 7.30 pm in the David Constable Memorial Garden, followed by Havdallah and our Healing Kirtan from 8.38 pm (RSVP here).
PAY WHAT YOU CAN
We want everyone to feel welcome at our events, whatever their circumstances. That’s why tickets for this evening are offered on a pay-what-you-can basis, so cost is never a barrier to joining us as we welcome the second night of Chanukah together.
SECURITY
Heightened security measures will be in place, and you may be asked to present photo ID at the gate. We thank you for your patience and understanding as our dedicated guards work to keep our community safe.
