Event description

Give old books new life as stunning works of art!

Children will transform discarded books into incredible mixed-media masterpieces using painting, collaging, sculpting, and cutting techniques. They'll learn to see books as 3D canvases, creating hidden compartments, pop-up elements, tunnel books, and layered scenes that tell their own stories.

What makes this workshop special? It's the perfect blend of storytelling and visual art! Kids discover that art doesn't always happen on flat paper - they can carve, fold, and build within the pages to create something completely unexpected. Each altered book becomes a unique treasure that combines their personal creativity with the mystery of transforming something ordinary into extraordinary.

This hands-on workshop teaches mixed-media techniques while encouraging creative problem-solving and environmental consciousness through upcycling. Children leave with their own one-of-a-kind art book and new skills they can use on future projects.

All materials provided, including pre-selected books perfect for altering. Ages 9+ recommended.
