Choosing and Using the Nudge - Conferring in Writing Workshop (Limestone Coast)
Event description
Choosing and Using the Nudge - Conferring in Writing Workshop
Morning Presentation - 15th May, 2021
Facilitated by Amanda Bartram
We all know that the most effective teaching in Writing Workshop happens during individual conferences with young writers. Most of us also know that the most challenging part of conferences is deciding the teaching point (nudge) and then teaching it effectively.
Join us in this workshop as we:
- Review the parts of a conference
- Practice identifying possible teaching points (nudges) for young writers
- Plan and effectively 'teach' into the writing, using mentor texts from professional, teacher and student writers
- Explore conference documentation
Light morning tea will be provided
PARTICIPANTS WILL BE ASKED TO BRING THEIR STACK AND EXAMPLES OF CHILDREN'S WRITING FROM THEIR OWN SITE
Please note: registration is via Humanitix and payment is strictly by credit card only. Manual registration and invoicing is not available. You are automatically sent a tax invoice when registering on Humanitix.
