Event description

Experience the magic of Christmas with a self-guided tour of two historic mansions on display for the holidays. The theme for this year's event is "It's the Most Wonderful Time of the Year!"

Visitors are welcome to tour anytime during the tour hours with final entry permitted 1-hour prior to closing. Tours begin at the front entrance of the Weyerhaeuser (green) mansion and end next door at the Musser (white) mansion. Shoe covers are provided at the entry to each home or bring a pair of your own slippers to wear while touring the mansions.

Hot cider and cookies will be served at the end of your tour and Laura Jane's Gift Shoppe will be open for holiday shopping.

50/50 Raffle tickets will be sold in the gift shop for $20/each. 50% of the proceeds from raffle ticket sales support the preservation efforts of the Friends of Linden Hill and will help offset the costs of preserving and maintaining the Linden Hill Historic Estate. The other 50% of the proceeds will go toward one lucky winner randomly drawn at Linden Hill on Friday, December 13th at noon. Winner need not be present to win. Only 1 ticket purchase necessary to win. Cash or check only. Winner responsible for any applicable fees or taxes. Anyone under 18 years of age may not purchase a raffle ticket or be eligible to win.

$5 - Youth (12-17yrs)

Children 11 & Under are FREE-must be well supervised by an adult.

Online ticket purchases are good for any of the ten tour dates. Present your printed or mobile ticket upon entry. Groups of 30+ receive a discounted rate - please call the office for more information.

The Friends of Linden Hill, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) membership supported nonprofit organization working to preserve and share the history and spirit of the Musser/Weyerhaeuser estate on the Mississippi River. Based in Little Falls, Minnesota, the organization cares for and maintains the Linden Hill Historic Estate, a city-owned property on the banks of the Mississippi River. The Friends of Linden Hill take on responsibility for the care, upkeep and maintenance of the Musser and Weyerhaeuser mansions, pavilion, barn, caretaker's house, swimmer's cottage, schoolhouse, playhouse as well as 9.5 acres of gardens and grounds.

The Friends of Linden Hill employ two full-time directorial staff as well as several part-time support staff. These roles include seasonal tour guides, bar and event staff and housekeepers. Dozens of volunteers are also committed to the organization and work closely with preservation and artifact care, museum curation, garden and grounds maintenance, snow removal, event planning, coordination and execution and so much more.

The Friends of Linden Hill fundraises throughout the year by hosting events, applying for grants, and offering mansion, pavilion and grounds rentals.
