Classic Cave Walk

Visit Chattanooga has a fantastic lineup of tours available to WITS attendees. These day tours are only for attendees with a confirmed ticket in their name to WITS 2026.

Discover the hidden beauty inside Lookout Mountain! Descend 260 feet by glass-front elevator into the mountain and explore the cavern trail to the tallest cave waterfall open to the public in the United States. After your tour, save time to enjoy sweeping, panoramic views of the Cumberland Plateau and Tennessee River from the top of historic Lookout Mountain Tower! Arrive at least 15 minutes beforehand as tours leave promptly on time. It is recommended for guests to arrive 30 minutes early to take in the view from Lookout Mountain Tower. Cave tours are a 1-mile round-trip walk with some uneven pathways and 36 steps. Guests should be comfortable walking and standing for up to 120 minutes and keeping pace with the group.

Meeting Time: There are 4 different times available, select one (Day 1 @ 8 AM and 6:10 PM, Day 2 @ 8 AM and 6:10 PM)
Return Time: 11 AM and 9 PM, depending on the tour you select
Tour duration: 1.5 hours
Accessibility: Cave Walk, Lantern Tour, Geology Tour, and History Tour guests should have the ability to stand for 1.5 hours and keep pace with their tour group for a 1-mile round trip walk. Due to natural formations, narrow passages and small groupings of steps, the cavern is not wheelchair or stroller accessible.

Cancellations
• If you can no longer attend, you must cancel using the link in your confirmation email by May 19, 2026
• Late cancellations after this date will incur a $50 USD fee per tour
