Speakers: Shayan Barmand, Climate Change Coordinator Noosa Council and Shaun Walsh, Local Landscape Architect
Learn about the predicted extent of climate change on the Noosa Biosphere, the expected impacts on rainfall, temperature and native vegetation and the critical role of urban greening. Put the science into practical application for your urban wildlife gardens with detailed information on plant species selection, shade and cooling, water management and verge planting. Noosa Council now permits verge planting in the urban area in a recently endorsed policy. This workshop will show you how to put it into practice to assist urban greening.
