Club Crochet
Join us for Club Crochet as the beats and yarn flow all afternoon
Grab a hook, claim a spot and settle in. We’re throwing a daytime crochet party on the gallery steps – music turned up, DJs spinning, yarn everywhere.
Come with friends or arrive solo, stitch side-by-side with other makers and enjoy the rhythm of the room. All ages and abilities are welcome. Seasoned crocheters, curious beginners, and everyone in between – our team will be on hand to help you get started. Hooks and yarn are provided or continue that project you’re already deep into.
DJ performances by Holy Trinity at 12pm and Elsie at 2pm.
Also take part in a shared making activity inspired by Minute Lines by Jess Blaustein, on display in DISTRACTION. This participatory artwork invites visitors to add a simple chain stitch to a large-scale collective crochet artwork across the gallery walls – redefining how we navigate time through making and doing.

Lineup
Elsie
Elsie is a DJ, event curator, and radio host, who is known for her warm and trusted presence within Naarm’s close-knit electronic music scene. In just a few years, she has become firmly embedded in community radio across so-called Australia. In particular, Elsie is an integral figure at Naarm’s Skylab Radio, where she contributes as programme coordinator and host of ‘Good Morning Skylab’, while making guest appearances on several shows on PBS Radio.
Holy Trinity
Holy Trinity are a trio of event promoters from Naarm. If they aren't behind the scenes throwing parties that celebrate and centre femme and gnc artists, Holy Trinity will occasionally get behind the decks to deliver a dynamic selection of music. Think trip hop, new wave, dub, balearic, punk, and electronica.
