Overview:

Every Club must manage the facilities it owns or leases so that its legal and contractual obligations are met, maximum use can be made of the facilities and the value of the asset can be preserved, all while bringing measurable benefit to the Club! Meanwhile, Councils are under pressure to ensure that their facilities are made available for use by the community in an equitable and sustainable way. This is a challenging and complex environment, making this workshop relevant for all types of clubs.

Presenter: Danielle Gevers, Director, DG Planners - Sport, Recreation and Open Space Consultants

Meet Danielle

Danielle is an experienced sport, recreation and open space planner currently working with government agencies and clubs on facility development, recreation planning, grant writing and strategic projects. She has a Bachelor in Recreation Planning and Management from the University of South Australia and over 18 years industry experience working in both private industry and government.

Danielle volunteers with a number of sporting clubs and can be seen at basketball, football or gymnastic competitions cheering on her two children. As someone who has worked extensively in both professional and volunteer roles, she understands the challenges clubs experience, and by sharing tips and tools Danielle can help your Committee navigate the red tape and operating alongside government to achieve great results.
