Immerse yourself in the quaint traditions of the British countryside in this murder mystery like no other. Join crime writer Jonathon Mapletree and a cast of suspicious characters as you attempt to crack the case.
Whilst you enjoy a delicious three course dinner, gather clues from the various suspects as they visit your table, discuss with your fellow diners and then decide...whodunnit!
You are invited to dress in the stylish Art Deco period and fully immerse yourself in the mystery.

A FÊTE WORSE THAN DEATH - The Story So Far...
It’s the summer of 1924, and the residents of Barking-on-the-Moor are putting the final touches to their annual village fete. The tombola has been spun, scones been dusted and homegrown parsnips polished.
To kick off celebrations, a charity dinner is being held in the ballroom of Barking Manor - with all proceeds going to St Christophers Church. The great and good of the village have come together for an evening of merriment, high spirits…and local cider by the barrel-load.
Even a fortune teller is doing the rounds…but what tragic events will she foresee?
Enjoy a delicious three course dinner as you question the suspects, decipher the clues and crack the case.
DINNER MENU
Entrée
Poached prawn and hickory smoked salmon, avocado.
Main Course
Char grilled chicken breast, chimichurri, honey glazed baby carrots, broccolini.
Dessert
Kiwi and strawberry soft centred pavlova, vanilla cream, berry coulis.

We’ve taken the hassle out of leaving your seat during the show, enjoy a three-course set menu crafted by our Executive Chef Grant Brown, with our exclusive Esplanade Select beverage package, you’ll be treated to an assortment of wines, beers, ciders and non-alcoholic beverages for 3 hours. No need to interrupt the festivities – your glass will never be empty.

Soft Drink & Dinner Package $135 per person
A no-alcohol option is available for you to select from; you’ll enjoy an array of soft drink options
with juice included. Enjoy a three-course set menu crafted by our Executive Chef Grant Brown. We’ve taken the hassle
out of leaving your seat during the show. Keep your palate refreshed and your taste buds dancing throughout the
evening with the No-Alcohol beverage package which includes soft drinks & juice.

You will be seated around tables of 10. If it is likely that friends will be coming along too, it is best to book all your places at the same time to ensure you are all on the same table.
