Event description

Join the Company of Dramatic Arts (CODA) for Little Women: The Musical, a moving and inspiring stage adaptation of Louisa May Alcott’s cherished novel. Set against the backdrop of the American Civil War, Little Women follows the lives of the four March sisters - Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy - as they navigate the trials of adolescence, ambition, and love in a changing world. At the heart of the story is Jo March, a passionate and determined writer, carving her own path and defying conventions in pursuit of a meaningful life.

With a sweeping score by Jason Howland, heartfelt lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, and a book by Allan Knee, this timeless tale is brought to life through humour, heartbreak, and hope. Whether you grew up with the March sisters or are meeting them for the first time, this production is a tribute to family, creativity, and the courage it takes to dream.

🖤💛❤️

Company of Dramatic Arts acknowledges the Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander Peoples as the traditional custodians of Australia. We pay respect to their elders, past and present.

The land on which we gather, rehearse, perform, and live was never ceded, and we recognise the ongoing connection of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples to this land. For thousands of years, this land has been a stage, where stories have been performed, connecting communities through time.

CODA is a celebration of diverse stories, and we acknowledge the history and culture of Indigenous communities. We stand in solidarity with the truth that this land was stolen, never ceded.

Thank you for joining us on this journey, where we value inclusivity, understanding, and respect for the rich heritage that shapes our shared experiences.
