This workshop is all about understanding colour as an artist.

Working with still life and landscape as our subject matter, we will play and experiment with colour theory for the whole weekend. We’ll be painting a grey scale, and a colour scale, painting with just two opposite colours, understanding how to use a complimentary counterpoint and painting in monochrome.

We will start to lay out and organise colour as shades, tones and tints on our palette to help us paint vibrant, unexpected fresh new work. Participants are welcome to work in either acrylic or oils.
