Community Comms Collective workshop for NFPs: Strategic storytelling for real and meaningful change
Community Comms Collective Workshop - Wellington
Every organisation holds stories that can build trust, support and momentum. But how do you find the stories already present in your mahi and use them with intent, both inside your organisation and out in the community?
In our final workshop of the year, brand strategist Heather Horswell will unpack what a storytelling strategy means in practice, what makes a story work, and the four kinds of stories most organisations already have.
You'll leave with prompts to use with your own team, whether you’re writing a funding application or welcoming a new volunteer.
This session will suit volunteers, communications staff, managers, senior leaders, and board members of not-for-profits and charities. No prior storytelling or marketing knowledge is needed.
What You’ll Learn
We'll be exploring:
Brand strategy – what is it?
What makes an effective story and why
Finding stories to tell
Telling stories within and outside your organisation
Take-home prompts to use with your team
