About the class:

Join us for a casual crafternoon of creativity! Bringing together makers of all different experience levels and mediums, our goal is to create community, foster imagination, pass along skills, or just chill out for a bit. Follow the prompt / project of the day, or bring your own work in progress & supplies. Meetup is FREE with registration! Come take a deep breath, be inspired, and leave feeling a bit more connected.

  • Please help us keep classes like this one free. Supplies are purchased based on the number of people registered and space is limited. In consideration of this, please let us know if you cannot attend as soon as possible so we can open the space to someone who can.

August's project - Traditional & Visible Mending. Bring your ripped jeans, torn shirt or that garment with the mysterious stain - Shaerie will show everyone several ways to repair clothing to extend their life! Traditional mending is more unobtrusive, blending into the original garment. Visible mending can be subtle or colorful, a great way to showcase your individuality! Both mending methods keep clothing out of landfills and are small acts of resistance - as we repair / reuse we keep our dollars out of the hands of megacorps. AS ALWAYS you are welcome to bring your own portable craft to work on. If you plan to participate in the monthly project, we ask for a small donation to cover materials costs!
