Community Planting, North Brighton Community Garden
Event description
Come and spend the morning planting native species to assist the North Brighton Community Garden!
The wonderful gardeners at the North Brighton Community Garden have been working to improve this small section of Bowker Oval into a beautiful and biodiverse pocket park, but they need your help. Council would like to invite you to join us all for a fun morning of planting followed by a midday treat.
This will be an opportunity to be involved in the transformation of this area, and to have a look at the North Brighton Community Garden, as well as get to know other local residents and the wider community.
Please arrive at 10.15am to allow time for registrations. Bring along gardening gloves and a small hand trowel, wear long pants, a long-sleeved shirt, closed toe shoes and a hat or rain jacket (depending on the weather). We will provide any additional tools and equipment that are needed. Children will need to be supervised at all times by a parent or guardian.
Bookings are essential so we can make sure we have enough equipment for everyone.
