Community Yoga - Term 1
Event description
Get a bit of 'you' time and enjoy some beginner friendly yoga for health, happiness & balance at VPCC.
In these casual, low-cost community yoga classes you will be guided through gentle postures, breathing techniques and meditation practices based on the philosophies of Sky Yoga.
Over 8 weeks, facilitator Raj will teach the 9 core principles of SIMPLIFIED KUNDALINI YOGA (SKY), which have been formulated over decades for an holistic and accessible approach to yoga and wellbeing. The classes are suitable for anyone and everyone who would like to give yoga a go, especially those who have never tried it before! Movement and postures will be gentle, with alternative options given to accomodate any mobility or injury issues.
Weeks 1 - 4 will be spent on thoroughly learning each of the 9 principles
Weeks 5 - 8 will combine all principles into a complete session
* Participants are welcome to attend the full 8 weeks as a progressive program, or drop-in to classes as you wish (knowing that each week will look slightly different - however all super easy to join in at any point!)
