Concordia Mandolin and Guitar Ensemble presents an afternoon of heavenly sounds to delight, sooth, and entertain.

With music from around the world, including the wonderful Heavens on Earth suite by John Goodin (USA) and compositions and arrangements by our very own composer Michelle Nelson, there is sure to be something for everyone to enjoy!

So, come along and join us for an afternoon of magical music and heavenly harmonies at the Heavens on Earth concert at the Box Hill Community Arts Centre, a thriving hub for the local creative scene where all are welcome.

Concordia is a plucked-strings chamber orchestra based in East Malvern, Victoria. Established in 1978, its first conductor was the prominent Melbourne guitarist John Griffiths. Concordia has presented hundreds of concerts across Melbourne and regional Victoria and toured Italy in 1984, performing in cities such as Rome, Florence and Milan.

Our repertoire spans from Baroque through to contemporary works and includes music by Australian composers, reflecting both tradition and innovation. Concordia has produced six CD recordings with Melbourne based Move Records www.move.com.au. Our CDs can be purchased either at our concerts or by contacting us through our website below. If you play the violin, we are keen to chat with you about playing the mandolin, which has the same tuning.
