COOCHIEMUDLO ISLAND FESTIVAL?


Taking place in the enchanting Mudlo Gardens and sprawling out onto the main beach foreshore, the family friendly (kids under 14 free) and COVID safe event (strictly limited tickets) is taking place on May 8th from midday to 9:30pm. Find more details here.

Featuring a stacked line up of East Coast talent including Bobby Alu (solo), Chocolate Strings, Karl S. Williams, The Double Happiness, Ruby Gilbert, Adele & The Chandeliers, The Holy Rollercoasters and local island band Red Belly Black.

With a focus on community and highlighting the treasured natural  beautify of the island, the day will feature artisanal stalls, activities for kids young and old, a range of food and musical entertainment that is guaranteed to keep feet moving all the way into the night.

Coochiemudlo Island is in the Redland City district, just a short distance from Brisbane city. Hop on the ferry at Victoria Point and enjoy the short, 8 minute ferry ride; leave behind the concrete jungle and enter a well kept secret island paradise via the emerald fringed beaches.

Family Friendly Community Event

Starting at 12pm (gates open at 11am) we invite you to have a fun day out with the whole family. Live music will be top notch and accompanied by local artisanal markets, kids entertainment for young and old, face painting, rock painting and a puppet show.

How to get here

Coochiemudlo Island is located in Redland City, to the east and only 45 minutes drive from Brisbane city. The island is easily accessible by passenger ferry or vehicular barge from Victoria Point Jetty and only takes a few minutes to reach.

Amity Trader operates the Passenger Ferry, offering regular services to Coochiemudlo Island from Victoria Point Jetty (on Masters Ave), seven days a week. The crossing takes just a few minutes and with a ferry departing almost every half an hour. No need to book, buy your tickets on board or at our office. Tickets are $5 one way, kids under 4 travel free.

EFTPOS facilities are available on board.

Once you arrive on Coochiemudlo, the venue Mudlo Gardens is only a short walk.

As Victoria Point parking is shared with boaties and island residents, we suggest you use the unlimited on-street parking along Colburn Ave and surrounding streets. Visit our website for information on parking and public transport options. 


Refund Policy

If there are government restrictions in place that inhibit the event progressing in May 2021, the event will not be cancelled and postponed instead.

In the event Covid 19 restrictions are enforced around the time of the event, we will postpone and your ticket will be transferred & valid for the next event date.

We have planned the festival based on the best advice and guidelines we have available to us at the current time.
