BABS POPS UP is a monthly restaurant event, a space for those working, living and enjoying Sydney’s eat food drink booze culture. Championing the prominence of female-led kitchens and dining rooms, BABS is a space for community and for the sharing of collective skills. For BABS, the temporality of place provides a creative outlet to freely explore what’s possible in the kitchen and on the floor.

For the final official BABS event for 2022, we're pulling out all the stops. This will be the long lunch to top all long lunches and we're bringing it to you from the heart of Marrickville at the Mud Australia Studio. Think long tables, crisp linen, luxurious Mud Ceramics place settings and incredible produce.

To highlight our commitment to supporting local businesses and respect for the providores of Marrickville, we'll be announcing our MARRICKVILLE PRODUCER LINE-UP in coming weeks and letting you know exactly why we love each and every one of them. We're sure they'll be all your favourites too and you'll share in our excitement for getting them on board.

As always, we're wrangling an all-star team to give you the best possible experience and to give a platform for experimentation, play and creativity to our peers in the industry. In the kitchen, BABS chef Ellie Hayes O'Brien will be joined by Victoria Rose, Head Chef at Jane, Surry Hills. Ellie and Victoria first met working together at Cafe Paci and are excited to be joining forces again on this suave affair.

BABS front of house and wine-list angel, Bec Shave, has summoned the talents of Sarah Feehan, winemaker at Parley Wines, wine rep for Imbibo, front of house legend at Cirrus and Bar Louise. With a wrap-sheet like that, it's fair to say you'll be wined and dined, and then some.
