BARE is a guided sauna ritual, led start to finish by a trained Sauna Master. Five things working at once: steam, aroma, music, towel work, and someone guiding you through it. The difference? You experience it in your natural form, without clothing.
BARE brings the tradition of European sauna culture in a clothing-optional setting. Most guests choose to be nude, but swimwear is welcome. Nudity here is natural, neutral and non-sexual.
Led by Sauna Master Amanda Berger, who trained in London under the Director of the British Sauna Society, BARE follows the same guided ritual as our Tuesday Aufguss sessions.
Whether you're looking for a proper reset, an elevated way to experience sauna, or simply a little time away from the noise of everyday life, BARE invites you to arrive as you are.
What Happens
Water infused with pure essential oils is poured over the hot sauna stones. Steam rises. Amanda moves it through the room with rhythmic, choreographed towel work set to music, and the heat arrives in waves you can feel land on your skin.
The experience builds in rounds, with time to cool between each one and breaks in the magnesium contrast pools. Each session brings together heat, aroma, movement and music to create a multisensory ritual that invites you to slow down and reconnect with your body and senses.
A Global Wellness Norm
While clothing-free wellness practices may feel unfamiliar in Australia, they have long been part of sauna and communal bathing traditions in countries such as Finland, Germany and Austria.
These traditions are grounded in hygiene, respect and shared social norms. Nudity is regarded as a natural and practical part of the experience rather than something provocative or performative.

When: Tuesday evenings, fortnightly, alternating with Aufguss
Sessions: 7:15pm–8:30pm and 8:30pm–9:45pm
Session length: 60-minute experience. Your session start time allows for 15 minutes to shower, undress and get comfortable.
Arrival: Please arrive early enough to shower and be ready for your session

Capacity: 20 guests per session

Important Guidelines
Each guest must complete a waiver before attending. Tickets are limited to one per transaction.
This is a strictly non-sexual space. Sexual behaviour, unwanted touching or inappropriate conduct will not be tolerated.
No phones, photography or recording.
Respect others' personal space and help maintain a calm, quiet environment.

Arrive early to shower and be ready for your session.
Pure essential oils are used. Contact us before booking if you have a fragrance sensitivity or allergy.
If you're pregnant, postpartum or managing a health condition, check with your healthcare provider before attending.

FAQs
- Will people be nude?
Yes. BARE is clothing optional and most guests are nude. Swimwear is allowed if that is what you are comfortable in.
- Do I have to be nude the entire time?
No. It is designed to be enjoyed in the natural form, but your comfort comes first. Use swimwear or a towel for as much of the session as you like.
- Is this sexual or provocative?
No. This is a non-sexual, body neutral experience with clear boundaries and a team on the floor the whole time.
- What if someone makes me feel uncomfortable?
Our team is present for the entire session. If anyone behaves in a way that makes another guest uncomfortable, they are asked to leave. No debate. No exceptions.
- Is this hygienic?
Yes. All guests shower thoroughly before entering the sauna or pools, towels are used when sitting in the sauna, and guests rinse between heat and cold. Standard practice in sauna cultures worldwide.
- Is this guided?
Yes. Amanda leads the whole session, including the towel work, the oil infusions and the breaks. This is a change from earlier BARE events, which were self-led.
- What is Aufguss, and how is this different?
Aufguss means infusion in German. A trained Sauna Master pours essential oil water over the hot stones and moves the steam through the room with towel work set to music. BARE is that same ritual run clothing optional, and Aufguss is the clothed version.
Both run on Tuesday nights, alternating fortnightly. One Tuesday is Aufguss, the next is BARE, and so on. Available dates are always listed on this page.
- I have never done anything like this before. Is that alright?
Yes, and a lot of the room will be in the same position. There is nothing to learn beforehand and nothing to do except sit down.
- What if it gets too hot?
Sit lower down where it is cooler, and step out whenever you want to. Nobody will mind and it will not disrupt the session.
- Why can I only buy one ticket at a time?
Each guest reads the BARE terms and completes their own waiver, which you cannot do on someone else's behalf. Send friends the link so they can book their own spot.
