6 September: Blacktown City Networking (BBN) - Building Better Business Relationships

This event has passed Get tickets

Event description

Welcome to the Blacktown business network that builds better relationships.

We have a special guest speaker this month - Blacktown businessman and father Chris Barton who, inspired by his daughter, became an overnight celebrity after completing a 24-hour non-stop walk from the Blue Mountains to Manly Beach.

Topic: “The keys of the super successful, how I have applied them in my own life and how anyone can do the same.”

Chris Barton completed the 130km walk earlier this year to raise awareness of mental health challenges faced by children.

His daughter Chelsea, has struggled for the past few years with a range of mental health challenges, including severe anxiety. The impact on her life was such that she can no longer attend mainstream schooling.

Chris spent six months training to prepare himself physically and mentally in the lead-up to the walk and used it to raise funds for Batyr – an organisation delivering mental health programs run by young people, for young people.

Resilience has become a new strength for Chris after he spent several years studying the drivers of some of the world’s most successful teams and individuals. He wanted to understand how to initiate positive change, build resilience, create connections and enhance mental health – a formula Chris applied to his own business and will share with us on Wednesday.

(You must be a regular group attendee to receive access. Behavioural standards apply to all groups).  Blacktown | Hills District | Parramatta Penrith & Lower Mountains

OUR MEETINGS

All attendees have the opportunity to introduce themselves and their business. Depending on numbers, introductions are between 30-60 seconds - so it would be a good idea to make a note of the key points you want to make!

You get to meet like-minded people, exchange ideas, learn, socialise, collaborate, gain knowledge, form new relationships, get fresh business ideas and tips and, of course, expand your introduction-based business network.

Whether your business is shop, office, industry, home based or in a shared space, you will meet motivated owners and entrepreneurs to share your passion and grow your business with.
