MOTHER ~ Mixed Media Workshop for adults over 16yrs

This workshop has the added element of a therapeutic nature.

Whether we are a MOTHER or we have a mother or we wish to BE a mother, it is so wonderful to explore the archetype of MOTHER in art. There is love, compassion and healing to be found in the creative process and we can do it together in a non judgemental and fun environment. 

By giving ourselves the permission to think outside the box we give voice to our inner mother. Often this part of us has been lying dormant for a long time and is eager to come out and explore like a child again! use a variation of art materials to make your mark, add texture and find your own style. There is something therapeutic and fun to let go of tension and there are many benefits to allowing yourself to be surprised by the art that will naturally unfold!

The Workshop:  Creative expression focused, using mixed media, pencil, pastels and watercolour. Gently develop skills, try a few techniques, have fun and gain exposure to contemporary art making.

Be guided by an award winning and practising artist in a relaxed and no-experience-necessary environment. Create a work of art or two on varied papers in a supportive small group environment.Designed for adults and teens of any and all skill levels.

Meet your host: Arna Baartz is an award winning Artist with work featured in books, magazines and private collections all over the world. Using visual arts as a method of expression, personal growth and communication, she is an arts educator and founder of programs like I AM, Kids In Touch Arts and The Emotional Intelligence Initiative. Arna's career spans more than thirty years and is an expert at helping you release your inner creative and make your creative marks without fear.
She creates in her studio at M|Arts Precinct where she also displays and sells artwork, writing pieces and more.
