Do you know that Badiucao was banned from many galleries and speaking events in Australia?
A prolific and political Chinese Australian, artist Badiucao is a dissident Chinese-Australian artist and cartoonist who challenges the Chinese government on its record on human rights and censorship. His work has been exhibited in Italy, Poland and America and has been published by Amnesty International, Freedom House, BBC, CNN, and the China Digital Times.
Hunar is proud to announce that Badiucao will be opening Day 3 of Art/Conflict on 18th November, and the day will feature 4 international artists speaking about their work and its relationship to state violence, political resistance and memory.Â
