Event description

Who: Koomilya Vineyard

Where: Amery Road, McLaren Vale

When: 9am – 11am

What: Plants, Plants and more Plants

This month’s Field Day is brought to you by the letter W

Wintry, Wet, Wonderful with Warbling Willy Wagtails

What a wonderful way to spend a weekend morn

When you ask?

Why Sunday the sixth it is, July of course

Where you ask?

Why Koomilya of course

Why Koomilya? So we can woodland the winding waterway

We’ll kneel and tender, nurture and nourish

Whether the weather be wet and windy or wonderfully warm

Well-known Geoff is away in the US of A

Why that won’t worry us

We’ll work on in his absence and win

Welcoming of his witty and wise words of months past

When work is done and the tools are packed

We’ll wind down at the shed

Where we’ll weigh in to Koomilya’s finest wine

With waters, brewed, fizzed or flavored

With sustenance, well prepared and wholesome

We’ll be well provided

When winding our way wherever be home

When did you say again? Wake early, be there at 9.00 am, Sunday the sixth

Where did you say again? Wander to Amery Road, north end, off Kays Road

Watch out for the Yellow tailed cockatoo, waving in the wind

Why not come along

With a workmate or buddy if you please

We’ll welcome them warmly with open arms, and planting gloves

Whoever they may be

Whenever that occurs

When all is done and dusted

Wait, you mean planted and guarded

Well yes

Waiting for the winter wet and

Weedy Wednesday watchfulness

All will be well with the world

Bewdy

Cheers Gwalchgwyn (Gavin)
