Nature Journaling at the Blue Mountains
Immerse yourself in the captivating beauty of Autumn at the Blue Mountains Botanic Garden through the art of nature journaling. Nature journals are an accessible, hands-on way to engage people of all ages in learning, slowing down and connecting with nature, the process helps develop skills of observation, perception, inquiry, and making connections. 
Led by an experienced Garden Educator—an inspired artist and nature enthusiast—these workshops invite you to discover the many benefits of Nature Journaling. As the landscape transforms with vibrant autumnal hues, it’s the perfect moment to slow down and observe the delicate details of nature. Join us for a series of hands-on workshops that foster mindfulness, creativity, and deep observation, while encouraging exploration and a greater appreciation for the environment around you.Â
Who:Â These classes are beginner friendly. No prior experience with drawing or journaling is required.Â

When: Sunday Mornings |10am – 12:30pm inclusive of a shared morning teaÂ

Cost:Â $90 per ticket | $81 for Foundation and Friends members
What to bring: You are welcome to bring your own art materials – An A5 art journal, Artline pen, lead pencil and rubber and a set of coloured pencils/watercolour pencils. Â
OR choose to purchase the Beginners Starter Pack ($12) with your ticket.Â

Wear comfortable clothing and shoes. We will be walking throughout the Garden during each class, please be mindful of the hilly nature of the site and uneven surfaces. Be prepared for the weather, bring a hat, warm jacket and rain coat.Â
Optional: A hiking portable stool, or a pillow, or a blanket or similar for comfort sitting down to journal. A Keep cup to take a hot drink with you.Â
Each Session will have a different theme and explore a new area or aspect of the Botanic Garden.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
- Purchase of a ticket online is final. Participants are required to bring a soft or hard copy of their online booking confirmation to the activity.
- No refunds will be issued for cancellation of tickets purchased online.
- A request for a date change can be made in writing no less than 72 hours prior to the program commencement time. The new event date must be within one month of the original booking date. Approval of a date change is at the discretion of the BGoS.
