Description

🌕✨ JOIN ME THIS OCTOBER FOR A FULL MOON YIN YOGA EVENING ✨

Deeply nourishing evening of Yin Yoga, stillness, reflection and renewal

Release • Renew • Reconnect

🌕 This Full Moon is in Taurus, opposite the Sun in Scorpio. Astrologically, Taurus is associated with grounding, stability, pleasure, the body and appreciating what is tangible, while Scorpio brings themes of depth, transformation and letting go.

🌕 October Full Moon Yin Yoga Evening 🌸

As the October Full Moon rises and Spring continues to bloom, take a pause from the busyness of everyday life and give yourself an evening to slow down, breathe and reconnect.

This October Full Moon falls in Taurus, an earth sign traditionally associated with grounding, stability, pleasure, the body and appreciating the simple things in life.

Opposite the Taurus Moon, the Sun is in Scorpio, bringing themes of transformation, depth and letting go. Together, this Full Moon offers a beautiful invitation to explore the balance between holding on and letting go, stability and change, and creating space for what truly matters.

As we move through Spring here in the Southern Hemisphere, we’ll bring these themes into a nourishing evening of Yin Yoga, breathwork, intention setting, reflection and sound healing.

✨ Your evening includes:

  • 🌿 Grounding breathwork

  • 🌕 Full Moon intention setting

  • 🌸 A gentle Spring-inspired Yin Yoga practice

  • 🌱 Space to reflect and reconnect

  • 🍂 A moment to consciously release what you’re ready to let go of

  • 🔔 Sound healing during Savasana

You don’t need to be experienced in yoga or flexible to attend. This evening is about slowing down, coming back into your body and giving yourself permission to simply be.

Come as you are.

Leave feeling a little more grounded, lighter and connected to yourself.

A beautiful evening to pause, breathe, release and make space for what matters. 🌕🌸

🌸 OUR SPRING YIN JOURNEY

As we move from the quiet, inward energy of Winter into the awakening energy of Spring, we’ll honour the Wood Element in Traditional Chinese Medicine.

Our practice will focus particularly on the Liver and Gallbladder Meridians — energetic pathways traditionally associated with the free flow of energy, flexibility, decision-making, vision and the ability to move forward.

Spring reminds us that growth doesn’t need to be forced.

A seed doesn’t need to know exactly what the flower will look like.

It simply needs the space, nourishment and courage to begin.

This deeply nourishing evening has been designed to help you gently release stagnation, awaken your energy and reconnect with what is ready to grow within you.

I can’t wait to share this beautiful evening of Yin, reflection, sound and connection with you.

With love,

Michelle x

BENEFITS OF YIN AND WHAT TO BRING.

Many benefits of YIN keep reading if you would like to learn more, and what to bring.

  1. Deep Muscle Relaxation: Yin yoga targets the deep connective tissues of the body, such as ligaments, joints, bones, and fascia. Holding poses for extended periods (often 3-5 minutes or more) allows these tissues to relax deeply.

  2. Improved Flexibility: By holding poses for longer durations in Yin yoga, practitioners can gradually increase their range of motion and flexibility. This is particularly beneficial for people with tight muscles or stiffness.

  3. Stress Relief and Relaxation: The slow-paced nature of Yin yoga, combined with deep breathing techniques, promotes relaxation and helps to calm the mind. It can reduce stress and anxiety levels significantly.

  4. Balancing Energy Flow: Yin yoga is rooted in Chinese Taoist principles, which emphasize balancing the body's energy (chi or qi) flow. By targeting the meridian lines in the body through specific poses, Yin yoga aims to improve the flow of energy.

  5. Joint Health: Regular practice of Yin yoga can improve joint mobility and flexibility. It helps in maintaining the health of the synovial fluid within the joints, which aids in joint lubrication and resilience.

  6. Complements Yang Yoga Practices: In yoga philosophy, Yin and Yang represent complementary forces. While Yang yoga (like Vinyasa or Ashtanga) focuses on muscular strength and dynamic movement, Yin yoga provides a counterbalance by targeting the deeper connective tissues.

  7. Mindfulness and Meditation: Holding poses for an extended period encourages mindfulness and introspection. It offers an opportunity to observe sensations, thoughts, and emotions that arise, promoting a meditative state.

  8. Enhanced Circulation: The sustained stretches in Yin yoga stimulate circulation in the tissues, promoting better blood flow and nutrient distribution throughout the body.

  9. Stress on Connective Tissues: Unlike dynamic yoga practices that emphasize muscle engagement, Yin yoga stresses the connective tissues, helping to maintain their elasticity and strength over time.

  10. Emotional Release: Holding poses in Yin yoga can sometimes release stored emotions or tension held within the body, offering a therapeutic benefit.

Overall, Yin yoga offers a gentle yet profound way to enhance physical flexibility, mental relaxation, and overall well-being through its unique approach to asana practice and mindfulness.
