🧥 WEARABLE ART WORKSHOP: CLOTHING UPCYCLING
Welcome to our sustainable wearable art workshop! This class is designed for absolute beginners or anyone interested in upcycling old items to help combat modern landfill issues. The goal is to breathe new life into a favourite old jacket that has seen better days, or transform a cheap second-hand shop find into an exciting, custom fashion statement.
I will guide you step-by-step through your creation, offering design suggestions, sewing advice, and structural options to help bring your vision to life!
· Duration: 3 hours (1:45 PM – 5:00 PM)
· Skill Level: Perfect for absolute beginners through to experienced crafters.
· The Fashion Parade: Sign up to show off your hard work! We invite you, your friends, and your family to join us in the church hall on Sunday morning at 9:30 AM for morning tea and a fun, casual 30-minute fashion parade celebrating your creations.
🧳 What You Need to Bring
Please bring along the base items you wish to transform:
· Your Canvas: Bring any item of clothing, hats, boots, denim jackets, canvas bags, or even an umbrella that you want to paint, bling, or sew.
🧵 Materials & Equipment Provided
We supply a massive range of tools and creative supplies to help you redesign your piece:
· The Essentials: Sewing machines (you are also welcome to bring your own if you prefer), hot glue guns, fabric scissors, sewing threads, and hand needles.
· The Habitments: A massive collection of haberdashery “bits and bobs”, including lace, patches, beads, and trims to add that perfect touch of bling.
· Paints & Media: Specialty suncolour fabric paints, spray paints, fabric markers, and much more.

Great Value Rate ; This comprehensive series is priced at an affordable $35 per hour.
This is a full 3 hour hands on workshop ($105)
Please feel free to byo sewing machine but turn up a bit earlier please to set up
Don"t forget It's not just clothes we will be re-designing, Hats.Boot/s Bags even Unbrella/s,
Pay on the day; the remaining balance $55 is payable at the door on the day via cash preferably
- What do I bring?
An apron or wear non preicous clothes.
We will provide refreshments. fruit tea, coffee, juice, biscutes some nibbles. Or BYO nibbles.
- Is There Parking?
Yes we have a 9 spaced car park and street parking.
