Create Your Tropical Veggie Patch

Let us show you how easy it is to grow food all year round, including during the hot summer months. This workshop will introduce you to some amazing tropical vegetables growing in our organic gardens and help you learn how to grow, cook and eat them. 

Youth Offer

This workshop is available to teenagers (12 to 18 years) accompanied by mum, dad or an adult guardian who have also paid to attend the workshop.

About the Facilitator

Dick has been a medical doctor, environmental activist and permaculturalist. He helped found Northey Street City Farm in Brisbane in 1994 and initiated Northey Street’s permaculture design certificate training courses. His particular interests are in garden ecology, permaculture design, tree and perennial crops, bush regeneration, bush foods and food preparation.
