In this workshop you will learn about the philosophy of tiny forests and be shown a process for creating a forest-like sanctuary for your place. You will get to explore what the forest means to you and express that in a vision for your garden. This workshop is suitable for people who have a balcony, courtyard or backyard and who want to create a peaceful and immersive garden feature full of life.

By the end of this session, you will:
understand the tiny forest concept
be inspired by real life examples whilst touring our community garden site
develop a vision for your own inner forest.
Grow a garden that feeds the soul. Whether you've got a balcony or a backyard you can create a space that brings the forest to your home.
Youth Offer
This workshop is suitable for teenagers, accompanied by mum, dad or another adult guardian, who has also paid to attend the workshop.
About the facilitator
AJ is a permaculturalist with a passion for educating people about the beauty of nature and our interconnectedness with all life. He is a gardening 'jack-of-all-trades' who works at City Farm Nursery but also Youth Education and Community Composting at Northey Street City Farm, AJ holds a Permaculture Design Certificate.
