Creating Healthy Living Buildings + Integrated Design 1 Day Course

This powerful short course, now running for the ninth year, is designed to transform your professional practice and broaden your thinking on sustainable outcomes. How do we integrate cost effective deep green performance and bring healthy Living Building drivers and regenerative design thinking into your organisation and project success? 
This training is for clients, developers, architects, construction and design professionals, engineers, project managers, product suppliers and community. Experience shows this training enables project teams to effectively deliver healthy, high performance buildings that offer long term value to stakeholders and users and nature.

The Living Building Challenge, Net Zero Energy and CORE are great outcomes and also gateways to 'systems thinking'. These chnage tools ensure our carbon, toxics, waste and pollution impacts are minimal or zero whilst other impacts are positive. The course helps frame the transition to creating a culture of kaitiakitanga and manakitanga - care for ourselves and our places, and life on this planet.

With our busy workloads it's hard to find the time we need to re-frame our practice - yet we must do this to remain relevant and address the existential challenges we face and upcoming NZ Government legislation and policy, specifically biodiversity loss, climate change, cost and comfort challenges.  Course fees $550pp + GST or $470pp +GST for groups of 3 or more. Includes LBC V4.0 Manual. Bursaries for community and small business are available.

CPD is available for NZIA, NZILA, ADNZ - Engineering NZ self report .

Tutor - The course tutor Jerome Partington BA(Hons) & PG DipArch is 30 years experienced advocate and design practitioner for high performance buildings and enabling community and ecosystem health outcomes. Jerome introduced the Living Building Challenge, Integrated Design Process and Regenerative Development (living systems thinking) to Aotearoa. His contribution and transformational thinking has guided many projects and teams to success and win significant industry awards.
