Creative Arts in a Montessori 0-3 Classroom

This workshop is designed to support educators and families with implementing creative arts experiences for children aged 0-3, in a meaningful and purposeful way. 

The content focuses on the components of Music and Visual Arts within the Montessori Cultural Curriculum Area. The information shared will combine foundational Montessori approaches with fundamental Creative Arts elements.


About Rachel

Rachel is a 0-3 Montessori Educator passionate about facilitating nurturing and holistic Montessori Infant-Toddler learning environments where children can flourish and develop at their own individual pace and level. Rachel calls North-Eastern Montessori School her second home, where she is the 0-3 Program Coordinator. Currently, she is at her first home undertaking a hands-on Montessori Baby refresher course with her fifth child. Rachel holds a Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care, a 0-3 Montessori Diploma and is currently studying a Bachelor of Early Childhood. She loves to share all she has learnt, and continues to learn, about Montessori Education and the amazing world of the 0-3 child with families, fellow educators, and any willing audience.

About Leanne

Leanne started as a Montessori parent 25+ years ago and has been working as a 0-3 Montessori Teacher since 2007. She has a Montessori 0-3 Diploma, a Degree in Early Childhood and a range of musical foundations in Kodaly, Orff Schulwerk and Dalcroze. She weaves these influences and ideas into the Montessori environment with the joy of song, movement, art and life. She works at Melbourne Montessori School in the Early Learners classroom with children 2-3 years old and is a Trainer for Montessori Institute.
