Creektures with Michaela McHugh
Event description
Creektures:Â a creek stroll + making creations with waste
with Michaela McHugh and Lachie Chomely from Creek ConnectÂ
Saturday 09 July, 10.00am-12.00pm; free to attend
Cowies Creek, 63 The Boulevard, Norlane. (Please meet at the location)
Come for a creaturely stroll, walk, waddle, prowl and crawl along 'Cowies' Creek on Wadawurrung country. We will activate our creaturely senses by observing and interacting with this place, the creek!
When all has been squelched out, we will retire at the Creek Connect fire for some warmth, tea and have a go at making some art with found things. We will also attempt to dabble in some weaving with waste, and yarning about whatever comes up on this winter morning.
This event is free to attend and open to all ages. Running concurrently with Michaela McHugh's curated exhibition in Gallery Two ‘broken glass; soft grass,’ showing until 29 July.
