On Saturday January 6th, join us in welcoming the London-based DJ, music-research-fanatic, broadcaster & writer Zakia to Miscellania.
Having played all across London and abroad including at XOYO, Dimensions and Dekmantel, Zakia plays a mix of funk-laden deep grooves from house to world, kuduro to afro, percussive beats and beyond. She also hosts NTS radio’s Breakfast Show twice a week, where you can also expect a variety of celestial sounds including funk, soul, jazz, boogie, latin, reggae, rock and RnB.

This event will occur on the unceded, sovereign lands of the Wurundjeri Woi Wurrung people of the Kulin Nation. We pay our respects to Elders past and present, in the ongoing resistance against colonialism since 1788. Always was, always will be. From the river to the sea.
