Join Council of Single Mothers and their Children (CSMC) for the Single Mother Test: Victorian Election Forum 2026. This is a free event, and food will be provided for both adults and children.
This non-partisan forum will centre the voices, experiences and priorities of single mother families ahead of the 2026 Victorian state election.
The evening will explore the issues affecting single mother families and offer an opportunity to hear how candidates and political representatives respond to CSMC’s five key election asks.
Single mothers, families, community members, advocates, service providers and supporters are warmly invited to attend.
Places are limited. If you book a ticket and can no longer attend, please email us so we can offer your place to someone else.
What to expect
The evening will include:
Stories and perspectives from single mothers and CSMC storytellers
Discussion of the issues affecting single mother families
An introduction to CSMC’s five election asks
Responses from candidates and political representatives
Time to connect with others in the community
Food for adults and children, and childcare at the venue, will be provided.

Forum concludes: 8:00 pm
Please arrive from 6:00 pm to allow enough time to check in and find your seat before the forum begins.
