Your body is your resource to lighter living
This workshop is for anyone keen to explore a somatic experience of some self care options.
To book, call:
Monique 0413 720 884
Lysanne 0417 713 120What are your beliefs around self care?
What is it that nourishes you?
What happens for you, when you feel overwhelmed, overloaded, broken or exhausted?
What is your default action? We are offering a body based (somatic) approach, which is integral to resetting our neural pathways to cultivate a default action that supports our health and wellbeing.
We'd like to share some deliberate, practical ideas/practises that, when undertaken regularly (daily), can assist to anchor us; to ground us.
In this workshop we will explore:
- Practical ways your body can play a role in self care
- How the breath contributes to how you feel
- Practical ways to regulate the nervous system
- The vitalising effects of moving the body
- Potent practises that you can use anywhere, anytime, that will help to keep you anchored in the present moment.
Life is not without stress .... and what ‘stress’ is, is different for all of us.
Wouldn’t it be great to have a variety of tools available to lighten the load.
We believe that a felt experience is paramount to the understanding of intellectual ideas so we are offering this as an experiential workshop. This means that we will bring the body as well as the mind into the exploration of ideas.
When we bring our body into the practice, our mind can remain restful and we begin to cultivate an internal awareness, trust, agency and resilience.
With an opportunity to notice our experience(s) first, the mind can be more receptive to growth and change.
Practical explorations include:
- defining self care
- how the body can play a role
- how our breathing contributes to how we feel
- conscious relaxation
- exploring ways to regulate the nervous system
- learning specific movement patterns to stimulate blood and qi flow, and to support overall mobility
- exploring some shorter "anywhere, anytime" techniques.
There will be space available for reflection and making notes of what stands out for you.
Please bring:
a notebook & pen
a blanket
a yoga mat or towel
an open and curious mind
a willingness to explore ideas.
To ensure your participation please make a payment of $150 (or $280) to :
