A Heart-Centred Afternoon Retreat

Gentle Hatha Yoga
We will begin the afternoon with a gentle and grounding Hatha Yoga practice designed to calm the nervous system, release tension from the body and create space for deeper self-awareness.
Suitable for all levels, this practice focuses on mindful movement, breath awareness and cultivating presence.
No previous yoga experience is required.

Satsang: Exploring Loving Kindness
Satsang is a Sanskrit term meaning “being in the company of truth.”
During this interactive and thought-provoking discussion, we will explore the scientific and philosophical aspects of loving kindness and how to practically apply this in our daily lives.
Topics may include:
• The benefits of cultivating compassion and kindness
• The impact our thoughts and intentions have on ourselves and others
• Collective consciousness and connection
• Ancient wisdom and contemporary perspectives on wellbeing
• Practical techniques for bringing loving kindness into everyday life
This is an opportunity for open conversation, reflection and shared learning within a supportive group environment.

Loving Kindness Meditation
Together we will experience a guided Loving Kindness Meditation (Metta Meditation), a powerful practice that has been used for centuries to cultivate compassion, empathy and emotional resilience.
This gentle meditation invites us to extend feelings of kindness and goodwill towards ourselves, our loved ones, our community and the wider world.
Research has shown that regular loving kindness practice can support emotional wellbeing, reduce stress, create better social outcomes and foster greater feelings of connection.

Ceremonial Cacao
Participants will be invited to enjoy a nourishing cup of ceremonial cacao in a warm and welcoming setting.
Often referred to as a “heart-opening” plant medicine, ceremonial cacao has been used traditionally for centuries in rituals and gatherings that encourage reflection, connection and intention setting.

Our cacao is:

The cacao will be prepared with coconut milk.

Heart-Opening Yin Yoga
To conclude the afternoon, we will move into a deeply restorative Yin Yoga practice focused on opening the heart space and encouraging relaxation, release and surrender.
Through longer-held postures and mindful stillness, this practice offers an opportunity to soften, reflect and integrate the experiences of the afternoon.
This final session is designed to leave you feeling grounded, nourished and deeply connected.
