Cultural Weaving Workshop with Auntie Leanne Williams
Event description
Celebrate First Nations culture and learn cultural weaving techniques with Auntie Leanne Williams
Join us at The Peoples Market, Port Adelaide for this very special workshop. Buandig/Boandik woman Auntie Leanne will guide us in traditional weaving techniques using Cyperus gymnocaulos, a beautiful native sedge. As you weave, Auntie Leanne will share her cultural knowledge, passed down through generations, connecting you to the traditions of her community. Leanne has participated in a workshop led by Ngarrindjeri Master Weaver, Aunty Ellen Trevorrow, and has continued to weave and hone her knowledge.
