Event description

The NSW Cardiovascular Research Network (CVRN) and NSW Office of Health and Medical Research (OHMR) are hosting a workshop to support researchers intending to apply for the Senior and Early-Mid Career Researcher Grants. The purpose of the workshop is to support researchers with their grant applications, offering tips and advice on how to write a successful application, to increase the strength and competitiveness of applications.

The program will include presentations on key components of the grant application, delivered by experienced reviewers, previous successful recipients and grant administrators, and will be highly interactive with opportunities for Q&A throughout the program.

This workshop can be joined both in person and online, with a meeting link provided closer to the event date. To attend online, simply select the "Online Ticket" option, and we will contact you with further details closer to the event.

In the weeks following the Workshop, the NSW CVRN will be offering online pitching sessions for interested applicants to pitch their research projects to a panel of experienced grant reviewers for feedback. Participation in the pitching sessions is optional and sessions are yet to be scheduled, but will take place between Tuesday 20 May and Wednesday 4 June 2025. If you are interested in participating, please express your interest when registering for the Workshop. To participate in a pitching session, you will be required to complete and submit a project summary form and 2-page CV prior to your session.
