Dad&Toddler - A One-on-One Overnight Campout Experience
Event description
Event Description
A unique opportunity for dads to take time out from the bustle of daily life, to bond with their toddler (1.5y/o to 3y/o). In a society where interest rates and cost of living are pushing us to work more hours, it is important to take some precious time to escape and do something special with our loved ones. Spending one-on-one time with our children is one of the best ways to create unique, fond and long-lasting memories with them. Join a small group of dads with their own toddlers for this little but super-dooper adventure, at a private farm adjoining the Avon Valley National Park (45min from Perth)
Most of the planning and logistics while camping go on us, so your focus will be mostly on getting the right gear, the right level of excitement, getting there, setting your camp up (and down on Sunday) and spend some very special play-time with your child.
Some of the items you’ll need are:
A roomy 2-person tent/swag, mat/mattress, sleeping bags, camp chairs, head-torches, raincoats, gumboots (in case we have rain and puddles to splash about). The use of phones will be discouraged for most of the time with the intention of pausing from that common distraction.
* A list of more important items will be sent once you confirm your booking, so you are well prepared and fail-proof.
* Dads will be fully responsible for their toddler at all times, for all the duration of the event.
* This is an alcohol-free event, and the use of phones will be discouraged for most of the time.
* We provide dinner on Saturday evening and Breakfast on Sunday morning.
WHY CAMPING?
It builds confidence and self-esteem in children.
It helps your kid disconnect (from tech devices), and reconnect (with nature and its wonders)
Camping is great for bonding with your child and it’s a good exercise.
Camping teaches survival skills and it is also affordable.
