Dance with the Moving Waters of the Birrarung
Learn to dance with the moving waters of the Birrarung (Yarra River) from the unique perspective of a canoe.
Beginning just upstream of the Warrandyte Bridge, you'll paddle below a gentle rapid as you develop your relationship with the river. As your confidence and connection grow, you'll gradually experience stronger currents in a safe and supportive environment.
This guided canoe experience is suitable for all ages and offers a fun micro-adventure in Melbourne's backyard while encouraging ecological thinking and a deeper appreciation of the Birrarung.
The paddle takes approximately 1.5 hours. To return to the starting point, participants will enjoy a 30-minute walk through the park. If preferred, a taxi can be arranged at your own expense instead of the return walk.
Come along, build confidence on the water, connect with the river and enjoy a memorable adventure on the Birrarung.
This event is generously hosted by Up The Creek.
