When: Wednesdays, weekly.
Time: 12pm-12.30pm.
Where: Fitness Studio, Building 4 Sporting Commons (upstairs). See image below for directions.
Open to all staff and students at the University of Canberra.
About your Dance Workout facilitator
Ehssan Sakhaee is a senior lecturer in professional practice and leadership at UC (at SciTech), and lifelong lover of movement and music. He began running weekly dance workouts during the COVID-19 lockdowns while teaching at the University of Sydney, creating a space for staff and students to stay active, uplifted, and connected through Zoom. What started as a virtual initiative soon evolved into a hybrid experience, blending in-person and online participation. Now based in Canberra, Ehssan continues to share his passion by offering free community dance sessions that promote joy, wellbeing, and a sense of togetherness—no dance experience required.

Dance Workouts is part of Connect Up 2617, a research initiative run by University of Canberra's Health Research Institute (HRI) to strengthen social connection among people aged 18 to 30.
