Dances of Universal Peace Thailand Camp 2022

Only if we are united, do we stand a chance to overcome the global problems we face as humanity. It’s time to heal the fragmentations of society and use our differences as an enrichment rather than an impediment to our harmonic presence on Earth.

Join us for the Dances of Universal Peace Thailand Camp 2022 - a two-day-two-night of peace celebration in the spirit of community.

The Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) is a very simple practice, suitable for all people and at the same time very special, because in circles we relate and harmonize intimately: we shake hands, we share looks, we listen and we sing together. The dances set scriptures and sacred phrases from various spiritual traditions to music and movement of the world.

It can be a powerful and transformative practice, dissolving our illusion of separation, and invoking an embodied sense of unity, presence, and compassion. Offered in an atmosphere of safety, authenticity, and mindfulness, the Dances help us to open ourselves to qualities that emerge and remember the interconnectedness and harmony of life.

We will be holding a two-day camp where we will learn about this practice, singing, dancing, meditating and connecting with each other.

Facilitator

Arjun lives in Atlantida Ecovillage, in the Andes of Colombia, a place he co-founded in 2003 with friends and family in order to fully embody the search for an alternative and restorative way of life on the planet. He has worked for years with local native communities, youth groups, movements, and networks to build a better future. He is a senior mentor in the Dances of Universal Peace (DUP) International Network and Sufi Guide in the S.R.I., and is very much involved in the native ceremonies and ancient wisdom of the Americas, serving as a medicine man and ceremonies conductor since 2003. With his immense experience and wisdom, he will guide us through this practice during the camp. He is currently on a mission to share this practice to more people in the world.

Financial contribution

• Standard fee: 97 AUD (around 60 USD) 
• Abundant fee: sliding scale from 145-245 AUD (around 90-150 USD)
  

This includes: participation, food (3 vegetarian meals + 2 tea-breaks per day) and accommodation (dormitory/tent) in the whole program from the 4pm December 12th to 4pm December 14th, 2022.

This does NOT include:

• Your own travel to and from Gaia Ashram
• Other options of accommodation like single room, double room or family room. Please read details about this in Gaia Ashram’s website here, if you want to book another room option other than dormitory/tent, you can let us know via email/registration and pay the excess at the site.
• There are limited spaces in rooms and dormitory and it will be offered in the basis of "first-come-first-serve". If you book later you will stay in tent. We will provide tent mattress and beddings, including blankets. If you need to bring anything else to make yourself comfortable, please do so.

Note: We are keeping the fee of the program as low as possible so that more people are able to join. We are able to keep it minimal because the facilitators and organizing team are gifting their time and effort voluntarily for this camp, Gaia Ashram is gifting their space, and partially sponsoring food and accommodation. If you are in a space where you have enough to support, we invite you to opt for the abundant fee to gift something you have in abundance to the group or the organizing team on top of this standard fee as well as support giving financial aids to other participants in need.

Financial aids

We want to support as many people as possible to join this event. For those who are in need of some financial aid for the travels and program fee, we have a limited amount of financial aid of 25% - 50% off program fee and travel aid to support you. Please write to us explaining your interest and situation at genoa@ecovillage.org, the decision will be made on the basis of specific consideration, contribution/engagement in GENOA, and first-come-first-serve.
