Daytime Figure Sessions with Kelly Oakes

Bi-Monthly sessions, 1st & 3rd Tuesdays from 10:00 AM - 12:30 PM
$20 per session, drop-in's welcome, though spaces is limited to 12.
(Must have 6 to run the class, pre-registration recommend)
About the class:
Figure sessions during daylight hours! This is an opportunity for artists in all mediums to work in live model figure sessions with the first 20 minutes allotted to short poses, and the last 2 hours allowing for one long sustained pose (with breaks). All mediums are welcome (drawing, clay, painting***), and attendees should bring their preferred supplies. Easels are available onsite.

About the Artist: Kelly Oakes
Kelly Oakes is a portrait painter, painting in oils both commissions and people that inspire her to paint them. She mostly paints from life, where she can experience the interplay between the model and the artist in the quiet of the studio. It is there that she can bring the essence of the model’s soul to the canvas.
Oakes has taught art for 20 years to all ages and abilities. She has a BFA from The Maryland Institute of Art, as well as studied at The Arts Students League in NYC. She enjoys sharing her passion for creating and appreciating art. She recently relocated with her husband to Hillsborough, NC. Kelly now has a studio at Eno Mill Artist Studios in Hillsborough, where she continues to paint commissions and teach.
