    Are you seeking some deep rest and space to cultivate calm in a busy life?
    Research has shown that the practice of Yoga is beneficial for an anxious mind.

    Join me for a 2-hour Yoga Therapy session that is designed to cultivate a deep sense of calm and rest in your life. A diverse range of Yoga techniques are thoughtfully chosen and woven into each session to calm the fluctuations of your mind.

    We come together and begin each session with a ritual cup of tea to settle our self into the welcoming space of 127b Goody Road. It is a place where we can all leave our busy lives at the door and for a few hours take the time to nurture our self.

    Deep Rest with Yoga offers us a way to prepare our body, breath, and mind to be able to stay and rest in stillness. When we let go of trying to achieve and practice in a way that is not focused on a particular style, or even a particular posture, we allow time to feel into our being and tune into our unique capacity, giving each of us opportunity to have our own personal experience of what deep rest has to offer.

    Gentle movement that is accompanied by the breath and sometimes sound allows us to link the body, breath, and mind together. Along with other aspects of yoga such as visualisation, gesture and mudra we encourage the mind to begin to focus and become steady, and in turn this grows our capacity to stay within the deep rest that is the goal of this practice.

    How do we take yoga off the mat?

    It is through experience that we learn what works for us, and from this we learn how to become more present to life itself. The focus for this session is to gift an experience of peace and deep rest and an opportunity to then take some of those positive experiences and transplant them into everyday life.

    How do we create space for rest and calm in our everyday existence?

    Rest is just a breath away and learning to connect to that place where quiet lives inside our self is a real gift

    These sessions are small gatherings, no big classes. There is time and space to simply open to the opportunity of resting in the quiet that dwells within each of us.

    I encourage you to allow your self this opportunity to find stillness and come to know what that feels like in your body and mind. You don’t need to be a yoga person to take part and enjoy these sessions, all that is needed is a desire to make a change or to simply take time out to nurture your self.
