Desert Bathing

Price $45 USD + BF Register

Event description

This is a gentle two-hour immersive desert walk adapted from Japanese forest bathing. No swimsuit is needed; bring yourself and your senses.

Luke Warner is a certified Nature & Forest Therapy Guide living in Joshua Tree, CA. Luke has guided in-person groups and regular online natural kinship groups with teenagers and has also worked with folks ranging from gyms to local LGBTQ+ charities.

Adapted from shinrin-yoku, Japanese forest bathing, this sequenced session, guided by an ANFT-certified Nature and Forest Therapy Guide, offers participants sensory invitations to connect with the desert and share what they notice. Each invitation lasts 10-15 mins. This class is family-friendly!

Participants must bring all required items for your course: Water and snacks, appropriate clothes for the weather (close-toed shoes required, long pants recommended), and something to sit on if you’d rather not sit on the ground.
