Design in the Garden - Helping ideas bloom! Stage 6 Design and Technology
Event description
Stage 6 Design and Technology classes are invited to join this evocative Virtual Excursion to support the consolidation and ideation of major design ideas and processes.
By purchasing a class pass to this resource, your students will be able to participate in each of these events live on Tuesday November 9, and will also be able to access the recordings on demand until Friday December 17.
The interactive day includes exposure to a multitude of different design stimulus from the three Botanic Gardens across Greater Sydney, interaction with authentic designers, and coaching on ways to process this knowledge to inform personal student works

- Case Study: NSW Herbarium Interpretation Design.
Sophie Daniel will share the process of connecting community with the world of Herbarium Science, 1.43 million specimens dating back to the 1700’s and producing designs that tell stories, look stunning and are scientifically correct.

Explore an array of gardens, designs and sculptures and using design criteria give them an approval (or disproval) rating.
