About this experience

This is not a training course. It’s an experience.

As AI and automation redefine the technical landscape, the Human Premium - the ability to connect, empathise, and navigate complex cognitive diversity, has become the ultimate professional differentiator. Yet, most teams are not naturally equipped to do this well. We ask people to collaborate, but we rarely provide the psychological safety, the shared language, or the conditions needed to genuinely navigate different ways of thinking and being.

This day is designed to explore that.

What this is about

If you facilitate team development, or are looking to bring profound depth to your workshops, this session is an invitation to move beyond individual insights and into the lived reality of team dynamics: fostering the deep understanding, psychological safety, and self-awareness required for genuine human connection.

Using a blend of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® and hands-on strengths work (including the CS Strengths Deck, designed for use with CliftonStrengths®), the day helps surface the understanding, self-awareness and compassion that underpin how teams navigate difference and do their best work together.

What you’ll experience

You’ll take part in a series of hands-on activities, combining strengths-based exploration using the CS Strengths Deck (the only card deck licensed by Gallup), alongside guided LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® builds and reflection. Together, these create space for deeper insight into how you think, work, and relate to others.

You’ll experience how the deck can be used in team settings to explore how talents show up in real situations - making strengths more visible, tangible, and easier to work with in practice. As you take part, you’ll also notice how the process is designed and facilitated, including how participation is structured so that everyone is able to contribute, bringing practical ideas you can take into your own coaching, facilitation, and team development work.

Across the day, you’ll explore different aspects of identity, experiencing the activities both as a participant and through the lens of how you might use them in your own coaching, facilitation, or team development work:

Core identity - what’s true for you

  • Your values, motivations and strengths you naturally bring

Expressed identity - how you show up

  • How your strengths appear in your behaviour, communication, and impact on others

Relational identity - how you relate to others

  • How you’re experienced, what you need from others, and how different strengths interact

Evolving identity - what you want to shift

  • What you might want to dial up or down, and what’s possible for you going forward

Throughout the day, you’ll build, share and reflect together. Everyone takes part, with choice over what and how much you share.

What you’ll get out of it

You'll leave with

  • Practical ways to use strengths cards in team environments to build understanding and open up richer conversations

  • Inclusive facilitation techniques that create space for every voice and support different thinking styles

  • Hands-on experience of LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® and how to use it to unlock insight and reflection in groups

  • Confidence combining strengths-based approaches with other facilitation techniques to deepen impact

  • Simple, reusable facilitation patterns, prompts and activities you can take straight into your work

  • A fresh perspective and new ideas for designing engaging, strengths-based team experiences

Who this is for

This day is designed for:

  • Facilitators, coaches, and trainers

  • LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY® practitioners looking to deepen their application

  • Strengths practitioners

  • People working in team development, leadership, or culture

It’s particularly relevant if you’re interested in designing for different ways of thinking, communicating, and contributing.

What this is not

This is not a certification in LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®.

It’s a chance to experience how it’s used in real facilitation, and to expand your own toolkit in a thoughtful, practical way.

About the techniques

This day brings together two complementary techniques:

  • LEGO® SERIOUS PLAY®
A hands-on facilitation method that uses building and storytelling to help people think, reflect, and communicate in a more open and meaningful way. It enables everyone to contribute, surfaces different perspectives, and creates a shared language through metaphor.

  • Strengths-based facilitation using the CS Strengths Deck
A practical and flexible tool that allows individuals and teams to explore strengths, behaviours, and dynamics without the need for a formal assessment.

Together, these approaches make strengths visible and usable, creating an engaging, reflective and intentionally inclusive experience where everyone is able to contribute, be heard, and work with strengths in a way that supports how they think and interact.
