Develop effective quizzes and interactives with generative AI assistance

Learn how to leverage generative AI to help you design quizzes and interactives that effectively assess student learning, and provide meaningful feedback and insights.

Quizzes are a simple way to support students as a form of assessment for learning and embedded interactive activities on Canvas are an engaging way to help students make sense of information visually. In this workshop you will see how we can use AI tools and H5P to create powerful diagnostic quizzes and plan out interactive learning activities. You will get a brief background on the reasoning behind the use of these learning activities before spending time creating your own during the workshop.

Learning objectives

In this workshop, you will be supported to:

• design quizzes that evaluate student learning, highlight misconceptions and provide actionable feedback

• build engaging, self-paced H5P activities aligned with learning outcomes

• generate high-quality questions, answers, distractors and feedback with AI tools

• storyboard interactive learning activities using AI tools.
