Thu, 9 Oct, 2am - 3:15am EDT

Event description

Diabetes NZ Auckland Youth are hosting a series of diabetes education sessions featuring experts from the Starship Children's Hospital diabetes team.

This second session in the Online Education Spring Series is suited to any person newly diagnosed* or whānau with a newly diagnosed* tamariki/child or rangatahi/youth. This will be a more interactive, but relaxed session, with introductions providing a chance to meet others. It will also cover a little about sick day management. Plus, have your questions ready for our experts to help for a Q&A. We welcome Ann Faherty (Diabetes Nurse Specialist) and Jessica Hardley (Clinical Psychologist for Paediatric Diabetes) to facilitate this session.

* Anybody 'newly diagnosed' within the past year, even two, or feel they would benefit from this session, are very welcome to attend.

Look out for more education sessions on a variety of topics coming soon. These sessions are provided free of charge, however if you would like to make a donation towards in-person events, that would be appreciated.

Any queries please contact shantelle@diabetes.org.nz / 027 2256569.

The Zoom link will be sent out the day prior to the event.
